Planes, Trains & Automobiles

There's lots of options available to you when traveling to Palm Springs! For a direct flight you can fly straight into Palm Springs via Palm Springs International Airport (PSP) https://palmspringsairport.com. Another option is to fly into Ontario International Airport (ONT) which is just an hour away by car, https://www.flyontario.com. There's John Wayne Airport (SNA) https://www.ocair.com, a 1 hour 30 minute drive, there's also San Diego International Airport (SAN) https://www.san.org, a 2 hour 15 minute drive and of course....

Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) https://www.flylax.com, which is two hours away.

 

If you decide to fly into LA and don't want to rent a car to drive to Palm Springs, Amtrak offers the Sunset Limited rail line that connects LA’s Union Station to the Palm Spring Train Station in about 2.5 hours https://www.amtrak.com/sunset-limited-train.

 

Another option for those who don't want to drive from LA is to take a bus. Flix Bus https://www.flixbus.com connects from downtown LA to Palm Spring and runs several times a day between the two cities, offering more frequent travel options than the train. The trip is non-stop and takes about 2 hours.
